TESTIMONIALS

I was looking for a course on the capabilities of C++ more than the syntax and this is it. Learning syntax is easy, but that’s the only thing many courses teach.

This course is exceptional. This use of animation makes the course engaging and easy to comprehend C as well as C++. A must for everyone

I'm a s/w engineer with 7 years of experience developing C/C++ and I learned something new and interesting in every chapter of all courses. These are not the courses scratching the surface, they have been developed by very knowledgable and experienced folks, who go beyond basics and teach you deep beneficial and practical topics, which you'll find useful at your everyday job as a C/C++ developr,

Don't be put off by the poor English grammar and goofy sentence structure of the course description -- the course itself is EXTREMELY well thought out and presented. What sets this course apart is the novel approach to teaching the concepts of OOP. Rather than programming by example, they use illustrations and real-world examples that very clearly explain the concepts, and then show you code. For me, the hard part of OOP was getting my head around the whole concept, not the syntax of C++. I wanted to know the "why" and "when" as well as the "how," and this course fit the bill perfectly. I've read many programming books including the incredible C++ Primer Plus by Stephen Prata, and The Object Oriented Thought Process by Matt Weisfeld (both highly recommended) -- yet this video still taught me a lot. A native English-speaking narrator would have been better for me, but the narrator's accent is not too bad. If you are from India, then the accent will certainly be no problem. I liked this course so much that I bought their "C" programming course - even though I already know C, I'm certain that if the course is anything like this C++ course, I will learn a lot. Also the course it nice and long -- not one of those "learn C++ is an hour" videos. This course is well worth the full cost.

If you are a beginner C++ programmer, then the course really can make you more confident in yourself. If now you are afraid of OOPs in C++ a little, by the end of the course you will have all the knowledge to start working on your own projects. I recently completed the course and now I'm working on my own projects with openFrameworks for iOS and everything is so easy and clear now. But this is only if you work patiently on all the examples in the lectures. I repeated some tricky moments for 5 times untill I got it all right in my head. And it's totally worth it. The course has unusual structure comparing to other C++ courses, but it really helps to understand everything better. You are not just using objects "to be explained later". First you learn the concepts and then apply them. The way you think of technology working under the hood of all the processes becomes clear and right. And then you code and compile and play with your code and get everything even more clear and right :) Everything is explained in details with animations and code examples. I highly recommend you not just watch, but try all the examples. I wrote every single line of code from examples and compiled it, and then played with it applying the information received in lectures. And now I feel ready for advanced C++ topics.

As c language is part of my college curriculum, i decided to take this course to gain more knowledge and advance individualy. The pace of the lessons is steady and the instructor wont let you be passive about learning it, as pictures, animations, stories (even philosophical quotes), real life analogies and coding examples are mixed together in a colorfoul and entretaining way to engage your mind and heart into the c language and the world of programming in general. The feeling is, that the instructor realy want you to see the beuty of coding and how it all operates under the surface. In the end of each chapter there is a quiz, the quizes are good and they like to test your awarness and memory, sometimes of previous chapter material as well. And of course after the quiz - there are variety of coding assignments and challenges in various diffculty levels. they (the creators) made good coding assignments here which made me think and rethink plenty of times, and i have been coding some javascript before i took this course, so i am not a fresh beginner, and again, i cannot stress enough how important are the coding assignments to realy intercept the material ! So, as i got a very good grade in my last semester's c exam, i can say that the course supply you the necesery value and plenty of it, the instructors are responsive and kind, and the passion for coding is felt in the videos, quizes and in the active q&a section.
